About Us

www.northernirishmedics.org.uk has been set up to provide information on Modernising Medical Careers and MTAS within Northern Ireland, and to give the junior doctors of Northern Ireland a voice.

We are a small group of junior doctors, working throughout Northern Ireland, who feel MMC isn't working, and in particular that MTAS is fatally flawed and unfair. Some of us attended the recent protest march in London, and have recently met with a number of Assembly Members to discuss our concerns. The MLAs felt they could help but first we needed to demonstrate the level of support for action within the medical community.

We are not trying to set up an alternative organisation, we simply want to make it easier for doctors in NI to access information, to speak to each other, and to coordinate a response to MMC.
